It is ok to do good for yourself so you can do good for others !!

Some people who start their own business, I feel especially based around something they love and is Passion based can find it hard to sell their product or service and find selling a little bit sleazy

But today I want to change the perspective on Selling and being able to be successful

You are not selling you are serving

Imagine someone who starts a Brick n Mortar business like a Coffee shop, beauty salon. A mechanic starting their own garage

We don’t begrudge them selling their knowledge and expertise to us

Image how many cars there are in the world and now imagine if there were no mechanics to fix those cars.

Mechanics are a necessity and they are serving their clients and customers at the same time

Imagine if there were no hairdressers, plumbers etc

Now image if you have a good mechanic and you have been ripped off in the past and now  you have a garage that goes above and beyond like have and like I do now

The same goes for a plumber with 20, 30 years experience behind him and digs you out of a hole a less experienced plumber wasn’t able to fix or even created

Or a hairdresser that seems to read your mind and knows exactly what you like and makes you walk out of their salon feeling Fabulous instead of chopping to much off and leaving you literally in tears, what would you do?

My guess is you would shout it from the roof tops. Tell everyone so they can use them and avoid the trauma you may have experienced and nowadays, take to social media

The same goes for films, box sets and restaurants and that favourite coffee shop

Don’t we jump online and share how good it is or tell our friends “You must watch this” or eat there when we meet them in that amazing Coffee shop we love

That is serving and selling all at the same time

You are giving that business free advertising and you are serving others to ensure they get great service and a great experience

And if you are in the knowledge based industry selling your expertise to change peoples lives or selling products you are Passionate about online because you know they are amazing.

Again, you are serving and entitled to do well Financially the same as any of the traditional businesses I mentioned above

You are still serving so you are entitled to do well to do good for others

Not only that, the better you do financially from offering your services puts you in the position to do good for others in a different way.

Regan Hillyer taught me about she calls the 5 Fields of Impact

She says the first field is “Survival” where we are just getting by. Trying to make ends meet. Pay the bills, buy food and nobody wants to be in that position especially when there is to much Month at the end of the Money

She then says that the next Field is “Freedom Of Self” and this is where we get a little bit of abundance. We start to feel more comfortable and able to do and buy the things we desire with ease and this creates Personal Freedom

The the next level is “Contribution to Inner Community” where now all our needs are met and we are able to support our close network. Our families and friends. I have heard of people who have got into this position and because of their personal success been able to help get a sibling out of an abusive relationship and pay for their divorce

Another who watched their parents work very hard on several jobs each just to make ends meet while they were growing up now pays regular monthly payments to enable their parents to retire, bought their houses and cars

Then the next level is “Contribution to Outer Community” and this is where you are able to support local charities and causes close to your heart etc

The other day I did a post with a quote by Lisa Nichols. I know that Lisa Nichols grew up in the hardest parts of LA and most of us may be thinking of LA as Hollywood and Rodeo Drive etc. Not having to decide which way to walk to avoid getting beaten up the “least” and trying to avoid being conscripted into local gangs but now Lisa does a lot for her origin community helping teenagers amongst other things.

The the last Field is “Contribution to Global Community” and I think after reading about the previous Fields this one is pretty self explanatory

Oprah who never had children of her own supports girls in Africa to get education and builds schools and calls them her girls. Her Global Family

I Am sure most of us want to be at the Global level but first we have to get out of the “Survival” Field before we can help our Inner, Outer Community or make a Global Impact and even ascend “Freedom of Self”

So can you see now it is your Divine Right and Your Divine Duty to do well and help yourself so you can do “Good” for others

The other day I also wrote that I heard Dean Graziosi say “There is a Gift in ALL of Us Someone is Waiting For”

Regan says you wouldn’t have a Desire if Your Higher Self, Your Soul wasn’t already Living that reality so it is Your duty to follow whatever your Heart’s desires are and Give Your Gifts to the World so You can Serve the World at Your Highest Expression

So Today and tomorrow and every day after that “Do Well So You Can Do Good For Others”
